If you run a recruitment agency, you know that "Commission Day" is often a bittersweet occasion. On one hand, it means your team is making placements and revenue is coming in. On the other, it usually involves wrestling with complex spreadsheets, double-checking placement dates, and manually calculating tiered percentages.
We built our
Today, we are thrilled to announce three powerful new updates designed to save you time and remove the headache from calculating recruiter payouts.
1. Calculate Recruiter Commissions Your Way: Monthly or Annual Views
In the recruitment world, performance tracking varies by agency. You might pay out commissions on a monthly cadence, but track accelerators or "President’s Club" targets on an annual basis.
We have updated the calculator to support both Monthly and Annual commission calculations.
-
Monthly View: Perfect for running your immediate payroll and calculating the specific payout due for the current period.
-
Annual View: Ideal for forecasting, year-end reviews, or calculating retroactive tier bumps based on year-to-date billings.
Simply select your desired calculation type, upload your placement data, and get an instant, accurate summary of the commissions due.
2. Smarter Data Uploads: Flexible Date Formatting
We know that exporting data from your ATS (Applicant Tracking System) isn't always pretty. One of the biggest time-wasters in commission calculation is "data hygiene"—specifically, formatting dates in Excel so a tool can read them.
We have overhauled our bulk upload feature to be significantly smarter and more intuitive. You no longer need to manually convert your spreadsheet dates to a rigid format before uploading.
The tool now automatically recognises a wide range of common date formats like MM/DD/YYYY (e.g., 10/25/2023).
This means less time spending fighting with Excel formatting and more time focused on what you do best: managing client relationships and closing searches. Just export your placement report and upload it directly—we’ll handle the rest.
3. Saved Commission Tiers
Recruiter compensation plans are rarely flat; they are often built on progressive tiers (e.g., 10% on the first $100k, 20% on the next $100k). Entering these specific tiers every time you wanted to run a quick calculation was tedious.
The calculator now remembers your settings.
By utilising your browser's local storage, the tool saves the custom commission tiers you set. When you return next month to calculate the new round of payouts, you can pick up right where you left off without re-entering your agency's entire compensation structure.
